Support the mission, vision and values of United Way of Miami Dade (UWMD). When appropriate, participate in various after hours and weekend activities that benefit UWMD and the community. Due to the leadership role UWMD is called upon to play in the community, particularly during times of crisis, it is the expectation that all UWMD staff will be fully engaged in the organization’s crisis plan and response efforts.
POSITION SUMMARY: Develop and build relationships in the community to address the health and human service needs of the community through United Way of Miami-Dade.  Develop and maintain various fundraising initiatives to include corporate, employee and individual fundraising.
Execution of the campaign process that consists of but is not limited to campaign strategizing, volunteer recruitment, training, and management; individual and group solicitation; individual and account cultivation, management and customer service; active promotion of corporate giving, individual giving, planned giving, volunteerism, United Way Direct, Community Connections, and labor participation. 
Manage loaned executives assigned to campaign team. 
Oversee and manage all aspects of Women United which includes staffing volunteers, fundraising and events management. 

Education Requirements:                         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience Requirements:                       Three to five years experience in sales presentation skills, account management, fundraising, and volunteer management.

Technology Requirements:                      Intermediate Word and Excel, beginner Outlook, Andar/SalesForce and Internet Explorer.
Other Essential Knowledge/Skills:          Public speaking skills, sales ability, basic math skills, and negotiation skills.  Foreign language not a requirement but helpful.
Contacts:                                                  Internal.  Communicate with all levels of the organization to exchange information, and negotiate solutions within policy guidelines.
                                                                  External.  Communicate with volunteers, key volunteers, donors/ contributors, and general public to exchange information, collect information, coordinate projects, problem solve, sell products or services, and cultivate relationships.
Working Conditions:                                 Visual acuity and manual dexterity required to operate computer and proofread documents; lift object weighing up to 20 pounds; carrying objects weighing up to 20 pounds; operate automobile or van, work long hours (50 to 60 hours weekly) to complete special projects, assigned tasks, attend evening events and special events.
