Supervise: Train and mentor development staff and communicate fundraising goals and progress throughout the organization. Provide supervision and conduct evaluations.
Strategize: Design development strategy for organization by working with the Agency Fundraising Committee and Community Relations Department to identify funds needed and preferred funding targets and approaches.
Fundraise: Spearhead the research, prospecting, preparation, approaches and presentations to targeted sources of support as well as submission of requests and/or grant and donation applications to multiple private donor sources (i.e. individuals, corporations, foundations) while working closely with Community Relations Department and Agency Fundraising Committee on these efforts.
Manage Capital, Endowment and Planned Giving Campaigns: Design and implement capital, endowment and planned giving campaign strategies and materials with support from Executive Director. Engage and support vested individuals and committees for participation.
Grant management: With support from Agency Fundraising Committee execute an RCMA grant tracking mechanism, grant application and reporting calendar with timelines for the preparation and timely submission of grant proposals and reports to funding sources.
Build a robust donor base: Develop and maintain key long-term relationships with donors and prospects. Support Community Relations Department on communication strategy to grow donor relations and contributions through effective communications.
Events: Provide support to Community Relations Department to establish annual and one-time events that grow event revenue year to year.
BA in Related Field (Master's Degree a plus)
Fully bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
Five plus years in the management of development department(s) for non-profit required.
Experience running successful capital campaigns for non-profit organizations required.
Five plus years in grants management and proposal writing required.
Experience securing major gifts required.
Experience working with media required.
Experience planning and running successful endowment campaigns a plus.
Experience planning and implementing successful planned giving campaigns a plus.
Board development and board fundraising experience a plus.
Successful management in fundraising from multiple donor channels.
Experience in planning, leading, and managing development projects, and tracking and reporting on progress to upper management and board.
Experienced supervisor with good track record of motivating and training staff to perform at high levels.
Experience with Raisers Edge.
