President

Jupiter Medical Center, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation serving Palm Beach County and surrounding areas, is one of South Florida's most respected and preferred hospitals. The Medical Center serves more than 108,000 patients annually through its 207-inpatient bed facility offering specialty services in oncology, orthopedics and spine, gastrointestinal and obstetrics. Additionally, they offer a 120-long term beds for post-acute and medical detox patients. Reporting to the President & CEO of the Jupiter Medical Center, the Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Medical Center. The President of the Jupiter Medical Center Foundation is responsible for formulating fundraising goals and objectives, and leading a comprehensive development program and staff. The position leads and models philanthropy efforts for the Medical Center, personally cultivating donors and prospects and soliciting major, principal and planned gifts for the Foundation. As the chief development officer of the Jupiter Medical Center, the President is the public face of the Foundation and a key representative of the Medical Center in the community. We seek a proven development career professional whose top-level leadership experience has demonstrated an ability to increase and sustain the level of philanthropy in support of a complex, multi-disciplinary institution. Ideally this person will have as part or most of his/her career, a healthcare system or hospital fundraising background in addition to other venues, such as higher education. At least 7 years of experience in managing development professionals and the functional aspects of fundraising activities are required. Knowledge from hands-on-experience in the organizational staffing and technological requirements for running a full-scale, cost effective and high-performing philanthropy program is a must. Campaign management experience, from start to finish, is highly preferred. An undergraduate degree from a college or university is required; a graduate degree is preferred.
