Miami Development Manager (PT Contract)

The Cleveland Orchestra is seeking a development professional as a part-time contractor in the Miami Florida area. The Development Manager will lead the overall fundraising program for Cleveland Orchestra in Miami using strong cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship tactics. This position serves as the local representative of Cleveland Orchestra in Miami with Advisory Council members, institutional funders, and individual donors in Miami, and is the liaison between these entities and the Cleveland Orchestra Philanthropy & Advancement department.

 The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years working in direct fundraising;
  • Strong relationship building skills and an enjoyment for working with people;
  • Successful track record of creating and executing engagement, solicitation and stewardship strategies for donors and prospective donors;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience partnering with volunteers to raise funds;
  • High degree of self-motivation;
  • Outstanding organizational skills and high attention to detail;
  • Ability to be discreet and maintain a high degree of confidentiality;
  • Demonstrated independent, mature judgment;
  • Ability to consistently maintain a professional image and demeanor;
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with a collaborative approach;
  • Ability to successfully prioritize to manage multiple projects and deadlines;
  • Must be able to travel to local or regional meetings.
